UNDERSTANDING THE COMPONENTS
OF A WEBSITE ELEMENTS
Designing a website depends on its business category and its industry.
There are Portfolio website, e-commerce, Dating/Social, Education, Health and Wellness, and more. Whatever the website is, these are the basic components that most of the website designs are based on.
HEADER PANEL

One of the most important elements in the website design. This panel contains the branding and the menu and is always visible to the entire pages.

BRANDING
​
To easily identify the business, logo and brand text are mostly placed at the upper left-side corner of the website.

NAVIGATION PANEL
This is the menu of the website. It is also used to interact with the visitor. Commonly, the menu consists but not limited to the following Home, About, Services, contacts, and subsets.
BANNER PANEL
Banner is a graphic presentation promoting the business - an illustration of the services that are being offered and showcased on the website. This panel contains the Communication Strategy or also known as the slogans and the Action Button. Banner depends on the style used in the design there are slideshow and video.
COMMUNICATION STRATEGY

Is the phrases that float along with the effects used in the banner. The function of this phrases is to persuade the visitor to learn more about the business.

CALL OF ACTION
This is a button or hyperlinked text redirecting the visitor to the specific page without the need to looking at the navigation panel/menu or redirecting the visitor suits to his/her interests.
DESCRIPTIVE SUBPANEL
It is used to highlight the business services - it has the icons, short description, and another action button
ICONS AND IMAGES
Highlighting a service can also be done through simple illustrations using Icons/Vector or images along with it is the is a short description of the specific service. Adding hyperlinked text or button gives direction to the other side of the page allowing the visitor to learn more about the service.
SUBPANEL - OPTIONAL
It is used to Add more information about the entire business such as people/person behind the business, featured clients, achievements & awards, promotion, sponsorship etc. Adding such builds credibility of the website.
FOOTER PANEL
Like a document footer, a Web page footer contains the summary listed at the bottom of the page like services, contact information, search bar, social links, awards vector/copyright declaration, search bar and more / depending on the client's description.
DROPDOWN PAGE
To avoid cluttered design dropdown page is used to add more contents or information without the need of searching more about the services.
